Updated Issues for 2016 - 25th Feb 02/25/16

The very dark and damp start to 2016 seems to reflect the general depressed view with which many in the farming community are looking at the year ahead. no-one wants to suggest the outlook is rosy – but there are always opportunities where positive actions and ideas can help improve the situation. Senior speakers from Mogers Drewett, Old Mill and The Farm Consultancy Group will be updating with area where help can be obtained.

Speakers include:-

  • Farm Consultant, Phil Cooper of The farm Consultancy Group will talk about ‘Coping with Lower Milk prices’, looking at practical ways of reducing cost of production.
  • Associate Solicitor Tom Chiffers, and Partner in the Private Client team Rebecca Beresford at Mogers Drewett will be looking at ‘Inheritance Tax and Succession Planning: Main Residence nil Rate Band’.
  • Director Dan Knight and Rural Accountant Will Vincent of Old Mill will look at ‘How to Survive 2016′.

There will be a question and answer session after the talks have finished followed by a hot supper.
